Here’s a short list of our project needs:
Film Crew (Studio) Our volunteer crew receives training at Berkeley Community Media (BCM), and uses their facilities to shoot interviews in a 3-camera tv studio. We still have room for those who can complete BCM’s training
Audio Technicians Can you get great sound? Do you know a lavalier from a decibel? We are looking for a few more people with a background in audio or those who are interested in learning.
Video and Audio Editors Fabled Asp is using an editing package called Final Cut Pro (and Soundtrack) to put our interviews into cohesive form, and we are looking for more volunteers with editing experience, or those who can pass BCM’s training, and have an interest in learning.
Transcribers We need people who can log questions, key words and correlate those to the time on tape.
Still Photographers We are looking for people with their own digital camera equipment who will take candid photos during Fabled Asp events and share the photos for publicity and documentation.
Web Mavens We need folks with web skills or an interest in learning. Useful packages include iWeb, Photoshop, FTP, iPhoto or Aperature, etc.
Graphic Artists We need people who know color, proportion and form. Use the art package of your choice.
Office Skills We always need volunteers who are organized, punctual and have good attention to detail.
Volunteers- we have all kinds of things we need help with besides media crew. Come to a mailing party, help with a raffle. We need your support!
Campaign Managers/Fundraisers: We run grassroots fundraising campaigns as well as grant-writing campaigns. We need help with funding all the time!
