In the past 15 years we have lost so many disabled women who have contributed much to our culture and community. From Margaret Sloan-Hunter, Carrie Gagliardi (on our icon), Nanci Stern, Pandoura Carpenter, Martha Courtot, Silvia Kohan, Lovey Ufland, and Jackie Winnow and Jessica Barshay.
We plan to begin an online memorial to these women to pay tribute to their lives and accomplishments, lest the younger generation of queer crips be without their precious history.
