Jill Lessing, Associate Project Director

Widely versed in a broad scope of clinical issues, Jill is able to integrate appropriate therapeutic techniques with a transpersonal/spiritual base.  She is the co-founder of Special Needs Services at the S.F. Chronicle, written articles for With The Power of Each Breath, A Disabled Women’s Anthology, written articles for Bridges-A Jewish Feminist Anthology, and was co-editor of What Do We Mean by Handi-Capism?

In addition she has served on several Boards of Director.  Jill is a social activist, artist and singer with the Threshold choir – a group that sings at the bedsides of those who are dying or suffering.  Jill is committed to non-violence and attends Quaker meetings at Strawberry Creek Friends Meeting.  In 1993 Jill received a Proclamation from the City of San Francisco naming Oct. 26, 1993 Jill Lessing Day in honor of her community organizing, humanitarian accomplishments, leadership and vision.
